Chinese Kickboxing: Kick-Punch-Throw-Lock

White Dragon's Kickboxing program is based on Chinese San Da, a "free fighting" self-defense system that combines kicks, punches, elbows and knees, throws and submission techniques into one seamless fighting system. At White Dragon, we place emphasis on developing real-world fighting skills that you can depend on both in the ring and out on the street!

At White Dragon, the emphasis is always on training safely. Whether you’re working one-on-one with a skilled instructor, or in a class training with fellow students, we always make sure that everyone on the mat is following the very best safety practices.

At White Dragon, you’ll dramatically improve the strength and speed of your kicks and hand strikes by training against both stationary and moving contact bags, pads, and mitts. You’ll also train with specialized throwing dummies to help you safely develop throws, take-downs, and ground striking skills. So, whether you just want to get into better shape or hone your skills for professional competition, you’ll find our kickboxing program is the perfect complement to your training routine.

Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and San Da

Did you know that the roots of most kickboxing and grappling styles can be traced back to the fighting systems practiced in China for thousands of years? San Da, sometimes referred to as Sanshou, Chinese Boxing, or Chinese Kickboxing, includes many of the same techniques used by professional mixed martial arts fighters today. In fact, one could easily mistake San Da for Muay Thai Boxing mixed with some Judo, which is why many consider San Da to be one of the earliest forms of mixed martial arts.
