Mixed Martial Arts - Tap In Not Out!

White Dragon’s Mixed Martial Arts program is designed to produce complete, well-rounded martial artists capable of holding their own both in the ring or out on the street. What makes our training so comprehensive is that we combine only the most effective fighting techniques from the world of Chinese martial arts into one seamless fighting system. The goal is simply to make you comfortable fighting at all ranges of combat: standing up, in the clinch, or on the ground!

Develop Real World Fighting Ability

Through the practice of Chinese Kickboxing, or “San Da”, students master kicking, striking and takedowns. Then we incorporate “Push Hands”, a form of stand up grappling practiced in Tai Chi, to develop the ability to fight by feel. This practice, in particular, trains one to use the opponent’s energy to power your counter-attack. Finally, a focus on submission grappling (similar to jiu jitsu without the gi) instills the full range of close-in, ground fighting capabilities. Your Health & Safety Is Always Our Priority

Although many White Dragon students are ring and cage accomplished, we realize not everyone wants to go pro. No matter your ultimate goal, be assured that your health and safety is our number one priority. Whether you’re working one-on-one with a skilled instructor, or in a class training with fellow students, we always make sure that everyone on the mat is following the very best safety practices. Call or stop in at any of our 8 San Diego or Temecula locations for more information.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Grappling, and MMA

Because of the rise of the UFC and mixed martial arts, Jiu-Jitsu and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) have gained tremendous popularity. As a result, many people wanting to learn martial arts often begin their searches with terms like “Gracie Jiu-Jitsu”, or “BJJ”. While these are definitely solid systems, they are by no means the only way to learn how to fight on the ground.

Did you know that the roots of most throwing and grappling arts can be traced back to the fighting systems practiced in ancient China? In fact, the roots of Jiu-Jitsu can be traced back to Chin Na, the age-old Chinese art of joint-locking. Similarly, Judo and Aikido can be traced back to Shuai Chiao, a Chinese throwing art dating back to 700 BC! Food for thought? Or, just another reason to train from the source: White Dragon Martial Arts!
